ABOUT: A VISUAL STORYTELLER
KEVIN NELSON is a Denver, Colorado based scenic designer with a passion for crafting immersive and unique theatrical environments. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
Since relocating to Denver in 2017, Kevin has served as a resident scenic design assistant in the Design Studio of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. In addition to his work with the DCPA, he shares his expertise as an Affiliate Faculty member at Metropolitan State University of Denver and as a Faculty member for Interlochen Online, where he helps shape the next generation of theatre artists and mentors students in the art of scenic design.
Kevin is an active and enthusiastic collaborator within Denver's theatre community. His designs reflect his dedication to storytelling and his commitment to creating transformative experiences for audiences. Whether working on large scale productions or intimate projects, Kevin’s work is defined by his keen eye for detail and his ability to bring directors’ and playwrights’ visions to life.
